R.I.P Wallace the Pitbull
Wallace lost his battle. He was an outstanding advocate for postive pitbull image, a shelter dog with behavioural issues turned frisbee champion. Sleep well. Thank you Roo and Clara, his guardians, who did so well and so much. You have created a legend.

Huffington Post: The Problem with Dangerous Dogs in the UK
"When you read of incidents involving dogs attacking humans, adults or children in the newspaper or hear of it on the radio, that attack did not 'just happen'. Things lead to that exact moment in time where that dog took life into its own control. If you look at any of the dogs who have killed or attacked an adult or child and you were able to look at its lifespan, you would find numerous incidents and triggers. It may be cruelty, it may be welfare issues, it may be terrible breeding or it could be that the owner was reported various times to the authorities on differing counts but nothing was ever done. Eventually all of these incidents accumulate - and something awful happens. The media make it out as if it 'came out of nowhere' but this is just not true. There are always warning signs along the way but nobody listened and nobody actioned these reports until one day, the worst possible outcome took place."

Denmark goes mental banning breeds
"The discussion in Denmark went totally out of hand. While reports surfaced that despite the current ban, the number of dog bites have increased and the ban is therefore not working, politicians and media ignored the facts and called for more breeds to be banned. When vets are reluctant to euthanize healthy animals just because they are part of breed, politicians called upon people to practice "do-it-yourself" euthanasia. This message was corrected, yet it shows the sentiment that is present in the country and the horror dogs and dog owners in Denmark are living in."

Photos I took at the recent Anti Breed Specific Legislation protest outside the Houses of Parliament on the 13th April 2013.
EXEMPTED DOGS COBALT AND SAPPHIRE (ABOVE) ARE SHINING EXAMPLES OF THE FAILINGS OF BSL. BOTH HAVE BEEN CLASSED AS TYPE DESPITE THEIR TINY FRAMES. NOW THEY HAVE BEEN TATTOOED AND MUST REMAINED MUZZLED AT ALL TIMES OUTSIDE OF THEIR HOME, AND NOW HAVE TO ENDURE WORRIED LOOKS FROM STRANGERS INSTEAD OF THE ADORATION THEY WERE SO USED TO BEFORE.
